who we are

Back2You Therapy provides mobile paediatric physiotherapy across Brisbane, delivering in-home physiotherapy and allied health support for children of all ages and their families.

Parents know their child better than anyone. When something does not seem right with the way they are moving, developing or managing physical tasks, that instinct deserves to be taken seriously. At Back2You Therapy, we start by listening. Our Brisbane paediatric physiotherapists come to your home, get to know your child in their own environment and build a therapy plan that reflects both the clinical picture and what your family is actually working toward. No waiting rooms, no clinical settings that put children on edge and no one-size-fits-all programs. Just practical, evidence-based physiotherapy delivered where your child feels most like themselves.

Our Services

Begin Your Journey to Better Health in Brisbane

Our Brisbane paediatric physiotherapy service supports children from newborns through to teenagers and their families. Whether your child is managing a complex diagnosis, recovering from injury or surgery, or you have noticed something about their movement or development that needs a closer look, we deliver the right support at home, where children are most comfortable and therapy is most effective.

Our Commitment to Exceptional Care

Thoughtful, Consistent Therapy Built Around Real Lives

Paediatric physiotherapy works best when it is built around the whole child, not just their diagnosis. Two children with the same condition can have completely different goals, different strengths and respond to therapy in completely different ways. What works in a clinical setting does not always translate to what works in a family home, at school or in the community spaces where children actually spend their time.

Our Brisbane physiotherapists take the time to understand your child as an individual before building anything. They learn how your child communicates, what motivates them, what frustrates them and what your family’s priorities are. From there, therapy becomes something that fits naturally into your child’s life rather than something bolted onto it.

We stay closely connected with the people around your child, including parents, carers, support coordinators, paediatricians and school teams, to make sure everyone is working in the same direction.

Our approach includes:

The Back2You Therapy Difference in Brisbane

Back2You Therapy is designed for families who need more than a short course of treatment. Supporting a child through paediatric physiotherapy takes time, consistency and a therapist who genuinely connects with your child and understands their world.

Care That Comes to You

Every session is delivered in your home or preferred community setting across Brisbane. For children with complex needs, the clinic environment can itself be a barrier to engagement. Therapy delivered at home removes that barrier entirely, allowing your child to focus on the work rather than managing an unfamiliar setting. For families, it removes the logistical challenge of getting everyone where they need to be on time, every week.

Experienced in Paediatric and Complex Care

Our Brisbane physiotherapists and occupational therapists bring genuine depth of experience across paediatric conditions. Cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay, acquired brain injury, torticollis and musculoskeletal injuries each require a different clinical approach and a different way of building rapport with a child. Our team brings both the clinical knowledge and the interpersonal skills to make therapy work for children across a wide range of presentations and ages.

Long-Term, Relationship-Based Support

A child who trusts their therapist engages more fully, works harder and makes better progress. That trust is built through consistency, and consistency comes from seeing the same therapist week after week. We invest in long-term relationships with the children and families we work with, and the results of that investment show over time.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Paediatric physiotherapy is a specialised branch of physiotherapy focused on supporting the physical development, movement and function of children from birth through to adolescence. It differs from adult physiotherapy in both clinical approach and the way sessions are delivered. Children learn through play, respond differently to instruction and have developmental goals that shift rapidly as they grow. At Back2You Therapy, our Brisbane paediatric physiotherapists are experienced in working with children across all ages and bring an approach that is engaging, age-appropriate and genuinely effective.

Our Brisbane team works with children across a wide range of conditions including cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay, acquired brain injury, Down syndrome, muscular dystrophy, torticollis, plagiocephaly and musculoskeletal injuries. If you are unsure whether paediatric physiotherapy is right for your child, call us on 1300 858 555 and we will be happy to talk it through with you.

Yes. We work with NDIS participants under plan-managed, self-managed and agency-managed arrangements. Paediatric physiotherapy is generally funded under Improved Daily Living or Improved Health and Wellbeing supports. We also provide Functional Capacity Assessments to help identify the right level of support for your child and strengthen their NDIS plan where needed.

There is no single right answer, but earlier is generally better. Physiotherapy can begin from birth and early intervention is strongly supported by evidence, particularly for children with a diagnosis that affects physical development or those showing signs of delay. The earlier therapy begins, the more opportunity there is to support development during the years when the brain and body respond most readily to intervention. If you have a concern, it is always worth raising it sooner rather than later.

Book online or submit a referral form and our team will contact you to confirm your child’s goals, funding and first session. We come to your child at home, in a community setting or another preferred location. Your physiotherapist will take the time to assess their movement, strength, coordination and development before designing a program that is specific to them. Sessions typically run 45 to 60 minutes and we aim to see new clients as soon as possible.
