who we are

Back2You Therapy provides mobile kids physiotherapy across the Gold Coast, delivering in-home physiotherapy and allied health support for children of all ages and their families.

Whether your child has received a diagnosis, is recovering from an injury or surgery, or you have noticed delays in their movement and development, getting to a clinic regularly can be stressful and disruptive to family life. We come to you, delivering practical, child-friendly physiotherapy directly to your home or community setting, helping your child build strength, improve movement and reach their goals in an environment where they feel safe and comfortable.

Our Commitment to Exceptional Care

Thoughtful, Consistent Therapy Built Around Real Lives

Every child is different. Their goals, their challenges and the way they respond to therapy are unique to them. At Back2You Therapy, our Gold Coast physiotherapists take the time to understand your child, their personality, their environment and your family’s goals before building a therapy plan that works in real life, not just in a clinic.

We work closely with parents, carers, support coordinators, paediatricians, school teams and other allied health providers to make sure therapy is consistent, well-communicated and aligned with everything else your child has going on. Progress is reviewed regularly and programs are updated as your child grows and their goals change.

Our approach includes:

Ages We Work With

Our Gold Coast paediatric physiotherapy team works with children at every stage of development:

  • Early Intervention (0–5 years) – supporting infants and toddlers with developmental delays, gross motor milestones, torticollis and early neurological conditions. Early intervention leads to better long-term outcomes and we work closely with families and paediatricians to start support as early as possible.
  • School-Age Children (6–12 years) – helping children build the physical skills and confidence they need to participate fully in school, sport and daily life. We address gross motor delays, coordination difficulties, cerebral palsy, autism, and post-surgical rehabilitation.
  • Adolescents (13–18 years) – supporting teenagers with sports injuries, ongoing neurological conditions, and the physical changes that come with growth and development.

What to Expect in Your Child's First Physiotherapy Session

We know that starting therapy can feel uncertain — especially for children who may be anxious about new experiences. Here’s what typically happens in a first session:

  1. We come to you. Your therapist travels to your home, school or preferred community setting – wherever your child feels most comfortable and relaxed.
  2. We get to know your child first. Before any assessment, we take time to connect with your child at their pace – building trust before we begin.
  3. We assess their movement and function. We observe how your child moves, their strength, balance and coordination, and how their development compares to typical milestones for their age.
  4. We talk with you. Parents and carers are central to everything we do. We discuss what you’ve noticed, what your goals are, and what a realistic therapy plan looks like for your child.
  5. We set goals together. By the end of the first session, we’ll have a clear picture of your child’s needs and a starting plan – explained in plain language, not clinical jargon.

Frequently Asked Questions

A kids physiotherapist works with children to improve movement, strength, coordination, balance and physical development. At Back2You Therapy, our Gold Coast physiotherapists deliver sessions in your home, working on goals that matter in your child’s everyday life, whether that is reaching developmental milestones, recovering from injury or managing the effects of a long-term condition.

Our Gold Coast team supports a wide range of childhood conditions including cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay, acquired brain injury, Down syndrome, muscular dystrophy and musculoskeletal injuries. If you are unsure whether we can support your child, call us on 1300 858 555 and we will be happy to discuss your situation.

Yes. Back2You Therapy works with NDIS participants under plan-managed, self-managed and agency-managed funding arrangements. We also provide Functional Capacity Assessments to support your child’s NDIS plan.

Physiotherapy can begin from infancy. Early intervention is often recommended for children showing signs of developmental delay or those with a diagnosis that affects movement and physical development. The earlier therapy begins, the greater the opportunity to support your child’s development during key growth stages.

Call us on 1300 858 555, book online, or submit a referral form. Our team will contact you to confirm your child’s goals, funding, and first session.

We come to your child at home, in a community setting, or another preferred location. Your physiotherapist will assess their movement, strength, coordination and development, then design a practical program tailored to their needs and goals. Sessions typically run 45 to 60 minutes, and we aim to see new clients as soon as possible.
