who we are

Back2You Therapy provides mobile paediatric occupational therapy across Brisbane, delivering in-home OT and allied health support for children of all ages and their families.

Occupational therapy for children is about the small things that matter enormously. Buttoning a shirt. Holding a pencil without frustration. Sitting through a meal. Coping with the noise of a busy classroom. When these everyday tasks are a struggle, the impact on a child’s confidence, and on family life, is significant. Our Brisbane occupational therapists come directly to your home or community setting, working with your child in the environment where those challenges actually show up. That is where the most meaningful progress happens, and that is where we do our best work.

Our Services

Begin Your Journey to Better Health in Brisbane

Our Brisbane paediatric occupational therapy service supports children from toddlers through to teenagers and their families. Whether your child has a formal diagnosis, is on a waitlist for assessment or you simply know that something is making daily life harder than it should be, we deliver practical, targeted OT at home, where children feel most at ease and where learning transfers most naturally into real life.

Our Commitment to Exceptional Care

Thoughtful, Consistent Therapy Built Around Real Lives

A child’s occupational therapy goals are inseparable from the context of their daily life. The same challenge looks different at home, at school and in a community setting. A therapy plan that only accounts for one of those environments is only doing part of the job.

Our Brisbane occupational therapists build therapy around the full picture of your child’s life. They take the time to understand how your child functions across different settings, what is getting in the way and what your family most needs to change. They then design a program that targets those specific barriers in the specific environments where they occur, and they stay connected with the teachers, carers and other providers who play a role in your child’s day.

Progress is reviewed regularly and programs are updated as your child grows, their goals shift and new challenges emerge.

Our approach includes:

The Back2You Therapy Difference in Brisbane

Back2You Therapy is designed for families who need more than a short course of treatment. Supporting a child through occupational therapy takes time, consistency and a therapist who genuinely connects with your child and understands the challenges they face in everyday life.

Care That Comes to You

Every session is delivered in your home or preferred community setting across Brisbane. For children with sensory sensitivities, anxiety or complex needs, an unfamiliar clinic environment can undermine the therapy before it even begins. Working in your child's own home removes that obstacle and allows the occupational therapist to observe and address challenges in the setting where they actually occur, which leads to faster, more meaningful progress.

Experienced in Paediatric and Complex Care

Our Brisbane occupational therapists and physiotherapists bring hands-on experience across autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay, sensory processing disorder, ADHD, cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury and dyspraxia. They understand that every child presents differently and that building a real connection with a child is just as important as clinical knowledge. They bring both.

Long-Term, Relationship-Based Support

Occupational therapy is rarely a short-term fix. The skills children build through OT develop gradually, and the relationship between a child and their therapist is part of what makes that development possible. We invest in long-term relationships with the children and families we work with, providing the consistency that allows trust to grow and progress to compound over time.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Paediatric occupational therapy focuses on helping children develop the everyday skills they need to participate fully in home, school and community life. In practice, this means working on things like fine motor skills, self-care routines, sensory processing, handwriting, social participation and learning readiness. At Back2You Therapy, our Brisbane occupational therapists deliver every session in your home, targeting the specific skills and challenges that affect your child’s daily life most.

Our Brisbane team works with children across a wide range of conditions including autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay, sensory processing disorder, ADHD, cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, Down syndrome and dyspraxia. If you are unsure whether occupational therapy is the right fit for your child, call us on 1300 858 555 and we will talk it through with you honestly.

Yes. We work with NDIS participants under plan-managed, self-managed and agency-managed arrangements across Brisbane. Paediatric OT is generally funded under Improved Daily Living supports. We also provide Functional Capacity Assessments to help identify the right supports for your child and strengthen their NDIS plan where needed.

If your child is regularly struggling with tasks that other children their age manage without difficulty, such as getting dressed independently, using cutlery, holding a pencil, tolerating certain textures or sounds, or engaging comfortably in play and social situations, it is worth speaking with a paediatric occupational therapist. You do not need a formal diagnosis to reach out. If something feels harder than it should be for your child, that is reason enough to have a conversation.

Book online or submit a referral form and our team will contact you to confirm your child’s goals, funding and first session. We come to your child at home, in a community setting or another preferred location. Your occupational therapist will assess their everyday skills, sensory needs and functional goals, then design a program tailored to their development and daily life. Sessions typically run 45 to 60 minutes and we aim to see new clients as soon as possible.
