SPINAL CORD INJURY REHABILITATION AT HOME
Living with a spinal cord injury can affect transfers, wheelchair use, strength, personal care, home access and participation in work or community life.
Back2You Therapy brings rehabilitation into your home so treatment can focus on the activities and barriers that are relevant to you. Your clinician can assess the equipment you use, the spaces you move through and the physical assistance available during everyday tasks.
We provide both activity-based therapy and functional rehabilitation, with support shaped around your level of injury, current abilities and NDIS goals.

The Back2You Therapy Difference for Spinal Cord Injury
Activity-Based and Functional
We combine targeted movement practice with real activities such as transfers, wheelchair mobility, reaching, standing and accessing different areas of the home.
Physio and OT Together
Physiotherapy focuses on movement and physical capacity. Occupational therapy addresses daily activities, equipment, seating and environmental access.
Therapy in Your Environment
Assessment and treatment take place using the participant’s own equipment and spaces, allowing recommendations to reflect how daily life actually works.
PHYSIOTHERAPY & OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Spinal Cord Injury Therapy That Comes to You
Back2You Therapy supports participants who require ongoing rehabilitation, help transitioning home or a review following changes to their function, equipment or support arrangements.
Physiotherapy, occupational therapy or combined input may be recommended depending on the referral.

YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT
What an In-Home Spinal Cord Injury Session Looks Like
Your first appointment is used to understand your injury, current function, equipment and priorities before recommending a therapy plan.
1. Discuss Your Current Situation
We ask about your spinal cord injury, previous rehabilitation, present supports, equipment and the specific activities you want to address.
2. Assess Relevant Movement and Tasks
Your clinician may assess transfers, bed mobility, wheelchair propulsion, standing, walking, balance, upper-limb use or personal care, depending on the referral.
3. Review Equipment and Positioning
Wheelchairs, cushions, beds, shower equipment and transfer aids can be reviewed for fit, setup and practical use.
4. Identify Environmental Barriers
We consider access through entrances, bathrooms, bedrooms and other areas where space or layout affects safety and independence.
5. Agree on the Next Steps
You receive clear recommendations covering treatment, activity-based therapy, home strategies, equipment trials, further assessments or NDIS reporting.
