who we are
Back2You Therapy provides mobile stroke rehabilitation across Brisbane, delivering in-home physiotherapy and allied health support for stroke survivors and their families.
After a stroke, the idea of getting to a clinic can feel completely overwhelming. Fatigue sets in quickly, mobility is often limited and the emotional toll of recovery makes every outing an effort. Families are stretched, routines are disrupted and finding consistent, quality care close to home is harder than it should be. Our Brisbane physiotherapists come directly to your loved one, whether that is at home or in an aged care facility, delivering practical, compassionate stroke rehabilitation that supports real recovery without adding to the stress of an already difficult time.
Our Services
Begin Your Journey to Better Health in Brisbane
Our Brisbane stroke rehabilitation service supports survivors and their families at every stage of recovery. Whether your loved one has recently been discharged from hospital or is managing the longer-term effects of a stroke, we deliver the right support at home, where recovery happens best and where life actually takes place.

Our Commitment to Exceptional Care
Thoughtful, Consistent Therapy Built Around Real Lives
Stroke recovery rarely follows a straight line. Some weeks bring real progress, others bring setbacks, and the experience of recovering from a stroke is different for every person and every family. Our Brisbane physiotherapists take the time to understand where your loved one is in their recovery, what they are working toward, and what stands in their way at home. From there, we build a rehabilitation plan that is realistic, practical, and consistent from one visit to the next.
We work closely with families, carers, support coordinators, GPs, and hospital discharge teams to make sure therapy picks up seamlessly after leaving the hospital and stays aligned with your loved one’s broader health needs. We communicate clearly and regularly, because keeping families in the loop is part of the job.
Our approach includes:
- In-home and aged care facility visits across Brisbane
- Physiotherapists experienced in post-stroke rehabilitation and neurological care
- Consistent clinicians who build trust with stroke survivors and their families
- Clear communication with families, carers and support coordinators
- Falls prevention and home safety programs tailored to your loved one's environment
- Therapy that adapts as recovery progresses or needs change
The Back2You Therapy Difference in Brisbane
Back2You Therapy is designed for stroke survivors who need more than a short course of treatment. Stroke recovery takes time, consistency and a therapist who truly understands the condition and what it means for the people living through it.
Care That Comes to You
Every session is delivered in your loved one's home, aged care facility or preferred setting across Brisbane. No exhausting trips to a clinic, no waiting rooms and no added pressure on someone already managing a difficult recovery. Stroke rehabilitation delivered where they feel safe, supported and able to focus on getting better.
Experienced in Stroke and Neurological Rehabilitation
Our physiotherapists and occupational therapists understand stroke recovery from the inside out. The physical complexity, the emotional weight, the way progress stalls and then surges, and the toll it takes on the people who care for survivors. That understanding is built into every session we deliver.
Long-Term, Relationship-Based Support
For many stroke survivors, rehabilitation is measured in months and years, not weeks. We build lasting relationships with our clients and their families, providing the kind of continuity and consistency that makes a genuine difference to long-term outcomes.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What does a stroke rehabilitation physiotherapist do?
A stroke rehabilitation physiotherapist works with survivors to rebuild the movement, strength, balance, and coordination affected by a stroke. At Back2You Therapy, our Brisbane physiotherapists deliver every session in your loved one’s home, working on the practical skills and physical goals that matter most in their daily life, from moving around the house safely to rebuilding upper limb function and reducing fall risk.
How soon after a stroke should physiotherapy start?
As early as possible. The brain responds best to rehabilitation in the weeks and months following a stroke, and getting started quickly can make a meaningful difference to long-term recovery. If your loved one has recently been discharged from hospital, we can work alongside their existing care team to continue rehabilitation at home without delay. Get in touch and we will do our best to see them as soon as possible.
Can I use a Home Care Package or Support at Home funding for stroke rehabilitation?
Yes. Back2You Therapy works with clients funded under Home Care Packages and the new Support at Home program. If your loved one already has a package in place, stroke rehabilitation is generally a straightforward inclusion. Speak to your care coordinator or contact our team directly and we will help you work out the best way forward.
Can I use NDIS funding for stroke rehabilitation in Brisbane?
Yes. We support both self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants across Brisbane. Post-stroke physiotherapy is typically funded under Improved Daily Living or Improved Health and Wellbeing supports, depending on the plan. If you are unsure how your loved one’s funding applies, give us a call and we will walk you through it.
How do home visits work for stroke survivors?
We come to your loved one, whether that is their home, an aged care facility or another preferred setting. Your physiotherapist will assess their movement, strength, balance and home environment, then design a practical rehabilitation program tailored to their needs and goals. Sessions are typically 45 to 60 minutes and we aim to see new clients as quickly as possible.
